that still does not address the problem they face because of the fact that when the local cops get a ncic hit on an illegal and they have no other charges to hold them on other than ncic hits for immigration or even deportation - they just let them go!

Same is true even if they have them in jail for a crime and have a pending immigration charge - they just turn them out.

it SHOULD NOT be newsworthy that deportation agents are simply doing their job. Unfortunately, that is what we have devolved into.
