I've had one...allow me to explain via a true story why we are not still together.
One morning while working in construction, the boss was introducing a new guy he hired, Harry. When it was my turn to introduce myself, I shook his hand and said, Harry did you fuck my ex-wife? He stammered and stuttered out a response...uhh..nnnooo, uuhh...I dddon't think so... Then I said to him, well damn I could've sworn she fucked every Tom, Dick and Harry.
October 3rd will be the 25th anniversary with the new and improved model. Well, I guess she's not so new now...heh

I'm exactly as I was when we met, other than gray hair and receding hair line.
I'm sure she expected me to change, stop racing, stop hunting, stop fishing, etc.
I suppose I should have "matured". As in started going to bed at 8PM, doing nothing but watch TV and eat, outside of work.
She was once somewhat sociable, had a little drive and ambition. She is now a complete stick in the mud homebody, with no drive, and no ambition. To the point where friends and business associates were bothered and uncomfortable. She once at least hung out during some of my hobby activities. She became jealous of every toy, and found misery in every activity.
I guess no one's fault. We should never have married.
Every time my band gigs, she used to go half postal.
I went stealth on her a few years ago. As long as there were no childcare schedule conflicts I simply stopped telling her when gigs were. Ill start loading up my car and she's like "you have a GEEG?" (She's Filipino she says geeg) and I'm all "yep keg n que for the door see ya sometime after midnight".

Mine is always looking at the sunny side of a situation and has a great sense of humor.
I don't like it when we get sideways but she doesn't hold a grudge. I think we're married because of her steadfast stubbornness and the fact that she is madly in love with me. For my part I take good care of her. I can't imagine my life without her in it.

Mine was an asshole. Sooner or later he hurt everyone he ever met. Because of that he died alone.
One of his brothers told one of my sisters on facebook "sorry about your dad" and that's how the family found out he was gone. He died in the hospital of some small town in South Dakota. The last any of us had heard, he was in Gering, Nebraska so it was a huge surprise to find out he had somehow gotten moved to South frigging Dakota.
Tomorrow is the 1st anniversary of his death. He would have been 73.
Im sorry to read that elfie. My Dad was so well loved. At his wake the funeral parlor was so filled with friends that the crowd spilled into the streets.
There were over 300 and all brought rum and Cuban coffee. We left the wake and went to the funeral.
He was a total humanitarian. If he only had $10 and you asked him for $20 he'd get it for you.
Long ago I'd think about him being dead and me not caring.
That part didn't work out so well for me.

Christ, I hope he did. I had to live with Mom til I was 18, he got out on early release the lucky bastard.

My family is so fucked up they didn't even invite me to the memorial service for him.
A very close friend of my dad's (they loved each other like brothers) wanted to go to the service also and because I told one of my sisters that she couldn't shut John out of the service just because she didn't like what he had to say when the family forced dad into a nursing home. So she shut both of us out.
This is the same woman that left us adopted kids out of our grandmothers obituary for reasons she won't say.
I want to kick that bitch's ass the next time I see her but I most likely won't. I want to though...
