Which is why it is usually translated as simpler is usually better.
“pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate”
A better translation might be the the watchword of homebuilt aviators everywhere, “Simplicate and add more lightness”

When you're driving in a car... is it the world that's moving or the car? There's no force on you. Flipping a coin in the air has it go up vertical and land right back in your hand provided you don't accelerate or decelerate. This is simple observation. How fast does a jet feel at 500knts?
No view you espouse is observable. It's why scientists across the world across the ages have come to the same conclusion.
Your feelings are not connected with science in any meaningful way.
driving IN a car?
You mean a vehicle with walls and a roof and specified volume?
an enclosed habitat, so to speak.
Yes
The explanation rhat we are on a ball and ruled by consistent forces that rule everything else is much much more simple than crystalline spheres, and infinite planes.
Are you drunk?
I think so.
Occam smiles at your spinning ball which hangs out in a vacuum with other spinning balls.
And your consistent forces, lol.
Like gravity, which lets butterflies and clouds roam wherever they wish.
And e=mc^2, which has light speed disregarding the Inverse Square law.
as in law, not theory.
You people are simply argumentative.

If I have a gram of stuff and want to figure out how much energy is contained within, why would a distance have anything to do with it? and distance from what?
Exactly ^
Einstein was no doubt a flerfer who went to the dark side.
Back to basics. Real math for real science.
How far can we see if we live on a ball 8000 miles wide?
QuoteSo, for all practical purposes, we can estimate the distance to the horizon using 1.22459√h (or perhaps even more simply as just 1.2√h), which gives the distance in miles when h is in feet. The metric version is s ≈ 3.56972 √h ≈ 3.6 √h in kilometers, with h in meters.
How far away is the horizon?

DIY proof:
Take a 6-ft. guy and square his height -- 2.44948974278
Multiply by 1.22
2.9883774862 (~3 miles)
boom
close enough for government work
Amazing

That video is hilarious. They state heights and distances without verifiable proof and inevitably demonstrates that the earth is round. Arguing if the horizon is at 3 or 9 miles as proof the world isn't round is undeniably a false flag. They have just established the world is round and now they're bickering over how big it is. This would get worked out with real verifiable data and real science as virtually every culture across the globe has demonstrated. The flat earthers are simply a different breed of complete ignorance.

Grav, the above statement is correct.
If we lived on an infinite flat plane, don’t you think that the horizon would be infinitely far away?
The horizon is the optical illusion created by our weak human eyes.
Plus, it's horizontal. As in flat along an x-axis.
Here is an app to do the math.
Sorry, kids. 3 miles is your viewing limit.
The horizon is the optical illusion created by our weak human eyes.
Plus, it's horizontal. As in flat along an x-axis.
But if I were at sea or in Kansas, even with binoculars, I can’t see further than a few miles. (To the horizon)
So my weak human eyes aren’t really an issue
Grav, you never did tell me how far away those stars and planets are that we can see with our "weak" eyes.
Grav didn't grasp the pythagoran calculation for distancing the horizon
But if I were at sea or in Kansas, even with binoculars, I can’t see further than a few miles. (To the horizon)
So my weak human eyes aren’t really an issue
Ah, but if your binoculars see further than where the alleged curve is supposed to be, then you must be in Kansas, Dorothy.
Now you don't understand what topography is. That's cool. Just don't try to use facts that have nothing to do with any point you're trying to make as proof of anything but your ignorance.
Ah, but if your binoculars see further than where the alleged curve is supposed to be, then you must be in Kansas,
My point was that my binoculars don’t see a farther horizon.
The horizon is the same distance using my eyes or the most powerful optics available, because the earth is curved.
Let’s all meet at the edge tomorrow and continue this fascinating discussion.
Science has brought us the modern world, including the devise from which you are posting.
You really want to throw that away?

Science?
or technology?
Not the same thing.
Science gives us
. the Germ theory
. the Atom theory
. Climate change theory............global warming and-or ice age
. fossil fuels, derived from dead ancient plants and animals which "decomposed" oddly
. vaccine efficacy and safety
Speaking of, what really brought down numbers of dreaded diseases? ->-> sewage treatment and clean water
Sorry to say, but real science died before 1958.
What we have now is NWO pseudoscience.
Science?
or technology?
Not the same thing.
without science, cutting edge technology would be an obsidian knife.
And we knew before 1958 that the Earth was a sphere.
