    Not sure how much of that is really true.

    But I'll tell you what the "richest" man I've ever personally met told me. I asked him how was he was able to be so successful?

    He told me "I've failed more times than most will ever try".

    That comment is one of the reasons I finally pulled the trigger on starting my own business.

    fact is it is within a year of the election, the Senate will not allow him to appoint her successor. Nov 2020 he will lose.

    • 1846 Ran for Congress again - this time he won -
    • 1848 Did not get sent back to DC
    • 1849 Sought the job of land officer in his home state - rejected.
    • 1854 Ran for Senate of the United States - lost.
    • 1856 Sought the Vice-Presidential nomination at his party's national convention - lost.
    • 1858 Ran for U.S. Senate again - again he lost.
    • 1860 Elected president of the United States.
