Dietrich Bonhoeffer: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

    Presbyterian Rev. Gilbert Tennant:

“He that suffers his life to be taken from him by one who has no authority for that purpose, when he might preserve it by defense, incurs the Guilt of self murder since God has enjoined him to seek the continuance of his life, and Nature itself teaches every creature to defend itself.”

Is this the same Eugene Yu that was a trumper that ran for Congress in Georgia???

"I admit that the Negro...has made little progress from barbarism to civilization, and that he is in a deplorable condition since his emancipation. That he is worse off in many respects, than when he was a slave, I am compelled to admit..."

    - Frederick Douglass

  • literally an honest question because Yu had made the local circuit here talking to every right leaning group. One of the articles on the Yu involved in this story briefly mentioned his involvement in Georgia, specifically dekalb county. You have to admit it is a bizarre coincidence.
