Microprose, Wild Bill and Warbirds 2020

  • So... screenshots are coming out and they say that this should be released by the end of the year.

Any of you gaming insiders have an opinion? Does this sound like something to keep an eye on, or are we looking at more vaporware?

  • Bah. DCS is were today is at.

Would be nice if they had a dynamic campaign, support for more players, and would host a server you could pop into on a more casual basis. A vietnam terrain with era planes would be great.

  • ah started dying they day they started the dynamic forced arena splits. when we could not fly together anymore on squad nights (Thursday was the only day that worked for most of us) we had 3 full wings within 6 weeks we had lost nearly 80% of our people.

  • AH has averaged 100 peeps a night for a few years. Seems to be a minimal level at which they still make a little money

If politicians only got paid according to their district's economic success, there would be no more Democrats.

  • What? Maybe $7,500/mo gross?

Well he doesn't have to pay someone to moderate the forum anymore.

But I'm guessing he probably has quite a few years to pay on his little fuck trophy from that mail order bride.

fact is it is within a year of the election, the Senate will not allow him to appoint her successor. Nov 2020 he will lose.

Dynamic campaign system is on the way, but maybe not this year.

Three wings of people? You guys were obviously part of the problem. There is a reason why there was a limit on squad size.

The AH servers could no longer keep up with the load during peak times, that's why they had to do the split servers. Air Warrior had split arenas from the very beginning.

You could have solved the issue by moving to a secondary arena and others would have moved as well. Instead all the blame lies on HiTech and company. Funny how that works.

Not exactly true Elfie, the servers could hold 1000+ players but the arenas became toxic at certain #'s levels. That's why the split was introduce, unfortunately one would fill to max and it would be an issue as squads couldnt get all their players on in the same arena. Of course this cause all sorts of whining.. and the rest is history.

  • Skuzzy had no problem handling loads.
