  • Does anyone know why Yeoman Rand was not in that episode?

Take a good look at that Pic and think of the year.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

    Presbyterian Rev. Gilbert Tennant:

“He that suffers his life to be taken from him by one who has no authority for that purpose, when he might preserve it by defense, incurs the Guilt of self murder since God has enjoined him to seek the continuance of his life, and Nature itself teaches every creature to defend itself.”

  • I've always been more of a Star Trek fan. Fuckin' Christ... look what the SJW's did to Discovery.

Picard might be ok, but CBS won't be getting my money for it. Not after that Discovery shit-show.

We've watched the first... two? seasons of Discovery, I thought it was better than anything I've seen

If politicians only got paid according to their district's economic success, there would be no more Democrats.

  • Just watched Whiplash. Very nice except the ending; no resolve...

    Curley should like it.

Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies, The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. — C.S. Lewis

To me it's just a poorly written scifi series with the Star Trek logo slapped on. Granted I've only seen most of the first season, but that was enough to make an impression. It's not formatted like Star Trek, the interaction between characters is nothing like Star Trek. There's little in the way of comedy.

Just boilerplate cheap scifi shoe-horned into the Star Trek universe.

I mean, what the fuck is "spore drive"?

  • I purchased Ad Astra with Brad Pritt and Tommy Lee Jones. I thought it was pretty good. The special effects were very good. The ending was the movie though. It really illustrates the affects of space travel on the mind.

I can't say I'd give it a must watch. However, I will probably watch it again. My son said it had potential but wasn't quite there.

  • I've seen 2001 probably a dozen times. I even own the bluray. I still have no idea what the fucking thing is about.
