We're at that point. Capex is under depreciation, meaning they can not replace factory equipment faster than it is wearing out and support everything else they have to. Service is not scaling with production. Q2 demand pull forward has q3/q4 looking horrendous. They have hit max production for their facility and can not achieve any further price reductions from scaling. Losing $7000 per car at this point is exactly where they are at, and yes, the financials matter. If you have even a remote interest in Tesla you should be following them, but you're not.
To survive they have to fund raise based on the promise of FSD.
