All our trucks are lariat or better.
So I nipped in to the Tesla dealership

Would LIKE something with under 100k miles, but I want the 6-speed, which came out in 2011 or 2012. Even 6-7 years old, they're mid $20's. Pondering how high I might go on the mileage
-
You can get 500k out of those trucks
-
What about the trannys?
-
That truck will give me 1m miles. You cannot believe how well it drives. I only drive it or the 07 Titan which I'm still waiting to learn what a good header for that is.
I'm going to squeeze out another smooth 50 normally aspirated ponies from this VK56DE.
JBA HAS a nice looking set of shorty headers. haven't found much in the way of long tubes yet for that from names i recognize. i've been busy as hell here, and not had the time i'd like to look.
50hp's a bit much to expect outta just headers though, unless you're gonna put a tune in the ecm .

From say...2006-2014, which motors from Ford and GM should be avoided?

all ford diesels. i'm not sure, but i thought i'd heard some bad about the gm diesels too. the 5.4 "N" engine is ok. v10 is ok. while i was poopoo'ing on the afm on the 5.3 gm engine, that would not make me avoid that engine. it's a great engine.

after having an underpowered suv for 17 years, I was gonna go with 6-liter anyhow. DID see a single V10 for sale on Ohio, but I'm hesitant to get a vehicle that hasseen road salt

What about the trannys?
6R140. As much as you hear about the legendary Allison in Gubmint Motors the R family trannys are world beaters. There is a recall for a software issue on some of them.

Kind of like what colleges did when they changed the student loan plans.
Bastards.
I like our system, you pay fees and then it gets deducted from your pay as a small percentage when you earn over a certain threshold, if you do not earn enough then you do not pay it back, statistically its a win.
Of course, had the goverment not defunded universites and allowed them to charge to make up for it then this would never have been nessesary.
The goverment saves a small bit of money, poorer people are hit, Universities loose out on possibly talented students.

We had a nice system before the Clinton presidency. You could work a part-time job and actually PAY for your education.....THEN they decided EVERYONE had a right to go to college, so government loans were made to anyone with a pulse. Surprisingly, schools started charging more and more. In 1979 an hour for undergrad at a state school in FLA was $15.00...now it's over $225.00, and you can no longer work your way through college
-
The value of that education is shit
-
Most kids gravitate to something easy that doesn't have math or science, which are the only valuable ones
-
That's why I assrape leftists daily.

Trump in a program his wife is heavily involved in is trying to set up lots more trade schools. Trade schools work.
lazs
-
Well, as long as there are safe spaces in the school
-
Also... his secretary of education is heavily interested in vouchers. Trump has fixed a lot of shit no one thought could even BE fixed. But something like education is so rotten that it will take years to even get a handle on.
It will be the last left wing bastion to fall.

the types of people that go to trade schools don't need safe spaces.
-
Yep... that is my point.. they are not the least interested in their teachers politics... they get a dose of real life... no participation trophies. Vouchers would be a way to start kids out right also.

Especially if the trade is gunsmithing.
