The roadster was their first attempt and not even designed to be an electric vehicle. It was a Lotus retrofitted to be an EV.
The Roaster could go from Edinburgh to London and a good portion of the way back on a single charge.

4 cylinder perkins with the right generator head bolted to it....... hit a button and charge while you drive.
3 cyl mitsubishi or kubota
That miller I have has the Mitsubishi, not a bad idea. It is really quiet too.
I like that 25hp Mitsubishi. It's very reliable and hella torque.
Not that the perkins isn't good because they are but the 3cyl japs run so smooth.
