New games/DCS thread/forum

I haven't played the Third Wire stuff in years, but DCS, and BoS, and even WT which is gay, but has excellent VR implement ion, which is worth just checking it out in VR even if you don't really play it. Other than AH3 which you actively play, DCS and BoS and the 2 I'd focus on IMO. DCS especially, the BoS team added VR long after the release, and while it's decent, you'll still run into crap here an there in my experience, although it's an excellent sim with or withou VR IMO. Krupinski has tons of experience with it, not sure if he's a VR user or not, but asking him would be a smart idea IMO, as I've only messed with it a bit, as I buy everything, but until recently haven't had the time to put into it all.

Tildeer - stick with AH3 and DCS primarily, and BoS probably too, as it's excellent with or without VR.

What are your new PC specs Nef? It's good to see you posting here too.

As for others talking about building new PCs/Specs, IMO you can built a decent 8700k, or one of the i5-ish cheaper type CPUs in that line, decent ram in the 16gb range, decent SSD/Spinner drives, good $100 case, decent liquid or Hyper 212 or Noctua air cooler, and a good GPU like a 1080 or 1080ti. All under $2k, easy IMO. Maybe even $1500 in the US, I'm not up to speed on prices/deals in the USA, just up here. You can make a decent one for under a grand too, there are lots of threads on HTCs forums in the hardware section about builds sub 1$k with 1060s in them.

Great PC, we have 3 gaming PCs that I regularly rotate through upgrading new stuff as it comes out, our 3rd PC is a 6700k, I may change that out to an 8700k just because I like upgrading, but the difference in performance with a 1080ti (or 2 of them in SLI as I've done that, along with the Titan XP I have in my primary (mine) PC with an i7 6850 Broadwell E set up). That's a great build Nefarious, VR will work great with that.

You know one of the developers is actively working on the A6 Intruder right now, right? I posted at length about it on the HTC forums, but it might be in the KN squad forums telling Devil505 about it, as he's a huge Intruder fan too. I had 2 Intruder crew board in my home when my mother was stationed at CFB Moose Jaw at an air show in 1991 (2 day air show and the base had limited barracks for crew, so base personnel were boarding aircrew in their homes if they had space and willing). They were in the Silver Fox squadron, had just months before been bombing targets in Gulf War 1, very cool guys, Lt. Dan "Buster" Brown was the pilot, and showed me all the cool shit before the air show let regular people in one morning, the TRAM and all the BN stuff. Made my year, I still look back on that and remember how cool they were with people at the show too for 2 12 hour days. Still have the squadron hat and shirt they gave me.

Edit - It's Razbam that's doing it, they are obviously busy with a couple other priority great projects, but IMO they are by far one of the better teams, and hopefully in a couple years or less they'll release it.

They are doing an A7 too, a complete USN air wing is obviously their goal, with the Hornet C model nearly done, and the F14A/B coming along too. Can't wait for them all to be done, carrier ops are a blast, and with the Harrier being release very soon too - VR+dcs+carrier ops = free time gone.
