ya... that's who the VA has taking care of me... sent the pics in but no reply so far...
So according to the internet if you have candida out of control the worst thing to do is a course of antibiotics.
Let alone thrice.
That's probably self inflicted thrush.
been lookin and thinkin more... but why is it black??? and maybe way ya... even seems to be on my teeth on that side of my mouth...
and almost clears up but SEEMS to comes back faster after each course... and spiting lots of pinkish and almost red now spit when I wake up...
After a strong course of antibiotics you can get thrush on the tongue (yeast infection). You need to get meds for it because it won't go away on it's own.
But seriously, you should have heeded Storch's advice on the you know thing.
hmmm....
Black tongue (or black hairy tongue) is a harmless (benign) condition. Even though the name sounds scary, the condition is not usually a cause for worry. A black tongue can happen for several reasons, including poor dental hygiene. The treatment for the condition is usually simple.
Here's what you need to know about what causes black tongue, what to do if you have the condition, and when you should see your doctor or dentist.

Why Is My Child's Tongue Black?
Black tongue is more common in older people but can happen at any age. The condition might be more common in men than women, however, the condition is more strongly linked to the smoking status and oral hygiene habits of an individual.1
Black tongue is often related to poor dental hygiene, but there are also other risk factors including:
Certain medications are associated with black tongue including:
Although the name for the condition implies that the tongue turns black, the discoloration can also be brown, white, or yellow. The discoloration is typically focused on the center of the tongue.4
Some people do not experience other symptoms. However, other symptoms that may occur with black tongue include:
Black tongue is usually easy to treat at home, but discoloration in the mouth can sometimes be a symptom of more serious conditions.
If you have discoloration on your tongue, make an appointment with your doctor. You might also need to see your dentist.
Doctors and dentists can usually diagnose black tongue just by looking at your mouth. If there’s any doubt about the diagnosis, your doctor may want to do more tests. For example, perform a biopsy to rule out cancer.
You're not one of Those People who eats broken meats are you ?
Could be a reaction to the antibiotics as well (allergy).
It's obviously a squatch.
just finished a course of anti fungal meds.. thing is the infection is still there...
Have you been tested for cancer?
not yet... although they did test the swollen gland between the jaw and neck... biopsy... hurt for about 2 days after...
You have the mumps.
That’s what swollen neck glands indicate.
Jumping to conclusions can be fun!
Coming from me this is hypocrisy since I never go to the doctors... but... It would behoove you to stay on top of this.

gotta see the dentist the 28th??? ugh this is getting ridicules... and getting rather irritable over it all...
keep describing what I perceive and keep getting ignored... then oh I should have listened comes from the dentist then same same... over again...
thinkin may be time to have a discussion with Nevada dental assoc.?
have spent near 2k over this tooth!!! and the VA is suggesting pull it...
interesting if I push against the tooth with my tongue it SEEMS to push some nasty tasting somethin out... and HURTS...
and this tooth as had a root canal... but still hurts... and is sensitive to hot and cold... and there is a spot on the gum on the outside of tooth...
that is very tender... and may be leaking blood... wake up in the morning and go spit in the sink and it is pinkish...
use blue mouth wash and at times it comes out purple... and told BOTH dentist all this!!!
bit grumpy about it all...
just got done talkin to dentist office... go in tomorrow at around 12:00...
You'll find the root is cracked and you'll have a bacterial. The only solution will be extraction.
Yes, as Storch said extraction is definitely what you want. The infection can spread to other areas and do terrible things if not taken care of quickly.

have had so far 3 courses of clindamycin 300 mg 60 tabs
1 course of z-pac 100 mg 6 pills starting with 2
1 course of fluconazole 100 mg 9 pills start with 2 then 1 a day till gone...
so far nothing has taken care of the problem!
just sent this into VA...
after talkin with dentist office and explaining AGAIN that in the mornings when I arise I often spit pinkish saliva AND sometimes when I use a blue colored mouth rinse and rinse for a minute or so it comes out purple. plus when I push against that specific tooth with my tongue I have some pain AND get a nasty taste on my tongue. scheduled for tomorrow Feb. 21 at 12:20 to see dentist. Just wearing my upper dentures SEEMS to put pressure on that tooth and nasty taste in my mouth. Can't wear lowers at this time as there is pain on the irritated spot just back of that tooth. Also if I put my tongue in that location nasty taste. CT scans say there is NOTHING there??? but why am I spitting pink and sometimes getting blue mouth wash turning purple??? etc...
BTW have explained these symptoms to both dentist more then once...
Pull it and be done with it. Just had one of my back molars pulled. I knew it was infected, and having gone thru 3 root canals on one front tooth, I will never have another root canal in my life. Found a dentist that did not argue and it was done. ( yes, it had pus.)
