Audio signals are first converted from sound to electrical waves. That part is easily reversed. Then those signal are modulated upon much higher frequencies before being transmitted. After receiving that signal you must then demodulate it and convert the lower frequency signal back to sound waves. Theoretically every radio or sound wave has infinite harmonics. These harmonics diminish in strength as they depart from the center frequency.
Since brains read electrical signals and interperate them as sound I do not find this at all far fetched. Especially if it's a signal you havd encoutered before. Why couldn't a brain be able to decode familiar patterns and display them as a song you know?
Radio signals are passing through your brain all the time including right now. Try decoding one.

Most of you are too young to remember the crystal radio sets you could buy. They had a little clip that you would attach to a chain link fence of something to act as an antenna. They had no power source as I recall.

I had a Radio Shack Homebuilt Shortwave when I was in JH. Strung a wire antenna across the roof. Could pick up almost everything, especially on cold nights. Now, SW ain't worth a darn.
