We had a lightning strike. Killed the thermostat and the fan on the outside condenser. Waiting on parts to be ordered on Monday. I'm running a sprinkler on the condenser to run the AC for 45 min. a shot.

Yeah that's the killer - getting the parts. I got a motor that wasn't quite the right one, but I modded it so the bracket would fit without issue. I've seen some people wait for like 6 weeks on parts.

Of late, inside the house downstairs is about 83 at 5pm. Couple months a year that has to be endured. Lotsa fans. Right now it's 83 OUTside, 82 INside. Was 61 outside when I got up this am, house was still hanging in there at 75
