Frigate Admiral Makarov has hit been hit and possibly sunk, damage to another vessel in Sevastopol Bay also.
Russia is losing a lot of ships for a land war.
Seems the frigate was hit, hard to say how much damage

Until they decide to go full Stalingrad.
The Russian People do not have the will anymore. It's not like they are fighting to defend their homeland.
Until they decide to go full Stalingrad.
They are going full Stalingrad. Lots of mobicks getting killed or captured days after getting mobilized. Turns out a couple days training isn't good for their longevity. Lot's of posts on Telegram from Russian contract and Wagner soldiers that they are glad the mobicks are put on the first line of defense instead of them. Some feel bad about shooting mobicks who try to retreat through their lines.

Sending them to the front to absorb bullets (from whatever direction) doesn't seem like a winning strategy.

It buys Putin time to hope he can further divide the US by usurping conservatives like we have seen here and similar in Europe. If Putin can buy enough time to undermine support for UA then he can at least bring the war to a standstill which is better than continually losing like the last few months. Beyond nuclear threats, that is his only chance of keeping the pre 2014 territories.
This war will come to an end when one or both sides lose the will to continue. UA moral is very high and they are not quitting any time soon. Russian moral has always been very bad and continues to deteriorate . Putin still has a strong police state to control the narrative domestically but it is falling apart gradually.
It seems he's undermining Russian support for the war and his leadership too. They are openly talking about frustration with the "special op" on govt TV

They have not changed since ww2 in almost every way in how they conduct war. It is truly stunning to watch.
They are at the point where they are starting to blame the military or corrupt officials as scape goats. Once they get to the point of blaming Putin and questioning the reasons for starting the war we will be close to the turning points in Russian society. If Putin can hold that off long enough for cracks to form in support for UA he might be able to negotiate something short of complete withdrawal.
I suspect we will be hearing more about Russian ships being promoted to submarine fleet..
Russia has announced it will resume its naval blockade in the Black Sea after today’s Ukrainian strikes against the Russian Black Sea fleet.
Russia is back to using famine in Africa and the Middle East as one of its hybrid warfare methods, together with energy blackmailing.
