Conservative values have skewed way left. You are right that there are many people who accept values now that would have been left of Democrats in 1994. Conservatives used to talk about tax and spend liberals. Now Republicans are the tax and spenders. So yeah I get where you are coming from. But I would still say that there are old school conservatives mixed in with the newer socialist conservatives or whatever one wants to call them.

His strategy of going in and killing as many fighters as possible rather than taking and holding ground is far superior to what we have done. No insurgency to deal with, just ongoing attrition.
