Putin getting overthrown is one of those Russia internal politics things. The greater pressure on Russia over time the higher the chance of something happening. As more cracks appear the higher the odds of desperation causing illogical actions.

Putin getting displaced will be the icing on the shitshow cake. It won't, necessarily, be a good thing. I just can't see Russia backing someone who's anxious to restore European ties vs someone who's anxious to restore the Russian empire.

I said it before. IMO Putin's butt isn't on the line unless he loses the Ukraine war. If Putin gets ~100,000+ Russians killed and still doesn't have Ukraine, he'd be first against the wall. And at this rate, I think that they may even lose more than what they started with.
Hence why I think nuclear weapons are on the table.
