  • I thought he was great. One of my favorites. The BEST Col Sanders.

Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies, The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. — C.S. Lewis

  • "Reports say that Michael Jackson's wife is now pregnant with the pop star's second child. Asked why he decided to become a father again so soon, Jackson explained that his 7-month-old son is starting to lose his looks." - Norm McDonald

  • IF you don't have the 5 minutes to watch this entire thing, watch at least the last 30 seconds. This was just posted on Norm's Youtube channel.

Seeing Conan lose it and start spinning around near the end, is all you need to see and say about Norm's talent. Conan is no slouch, but you can tell how much appreciates Norm's ability. So hilarious when Conan throws down @ Norm with the "do something with that you freak", and within 4 seconds Norm answers back. So much win.

I was driving back from the docs in the next city this morning, and listening to the local AM talk radio, and they had the owner of Yuk Yuk's comedy on being interviewed about Norm. Norm did his first amateur night stand up for them in 85, and brought the house down apparently in a 5 minute set. Norm was so young, that he didn't realize how great he did, and the manager had to chase him down the street and beg him to come back the next week. Within a few weeks he was signed on as an in house full time comic with Yuk Yuks nation wide, and within a few years was writing for Roseanne, and then came SNL, and the rest is history. Fastest any comic has been signed on as a full time comic ever, according the owner. This owner of Yuk Yuks, he was a close friend, and said he didn't even know about Norm's recent 9 year battle with cancer, and nobody he's talked to in that circle did either.

Norm had cancer back when he was in his early 20s, when he worked @Yuk Yuks and other places pre Roseanne/etc. He nearly died, and the owner of YukYuk's said he looked like shit and nobody figured he would make it. He did, and had a great career, and fought on in silence as he didn't want his comedy affected, and to have his renewed out of 30 year remission cancer be hand in hand with the first mention of his name for everyone.

    Great guy, amazing comic.

  • The infamous logic professor joke told 2nd hand so funny (05:00 mark):
