"Highly unlikely the Taliban will take Afghanistan"

  • Honduhs or Toyotuhs, although there's not enough headroom for me in Toyotas.

You shoulda went with the tilt steering option.

"The members of Congress know, from their colleagues in Congress, that, uh, you know, the, looks like a tornado, they don't call them that anymore, that hit the crops and wetlands in the middle of the country, in Iowa and Nevada. It's just across the board,"

  • Change the seats then, mine rotted away.

Lemme say that again... I don't care. If. The accusations against Trump. Are factual. Or not.

  • Ford and GM trucks are as good as anything out there

    Except a Toyota

You can identify an unknown force by firing one shot and judging the response.

    - If the unknowns respond with precise, regimented rifle fire, they are British.

    - If they respond with heavy machinegun fire, they are German.

    - If nothing happens for a few minutes, then your whole position gets leveled by artillery, they are American.

    - If they surrender, they're French.

  • Toyota Tacoma...ten years and 208,000 miles and nary a hiccup from that little gem...

I can't say the same for any American vehicle that I've owned...

2004 Taco had 210000 on it when I sold it to a coworker. Zero defects. His kid put another 100,000 on it, still rolling, still tight.

2003 Tundra with 215000 on it hasn’t faired so well. Frame rust, fuel pump, alternator, 4WD actuator, and a crank sensor have cost me a few bucks to replace. Still running but…

I disagree but I respect your right to be stupid.

  • Hilux is great but I don't think you get them. It doesn't have to be a TRD either. They are more of a wankers car.

  • I got rid of the shop's 07 F150 when it broke 300,000. BCM and stupid split driveshaft were the biggest expenses. She's still rolling down the road. The current owner pulled a trailer to Connecticut twice and Florida with it this year. The current shop truck is a 14 F150 4x4 and has around 235,000 on it with no major repair bills. I'd like to replace it but there is nothing out there to replace it with.

My 2003 (200k miles) ram seems like it's more rust than car. Especially around the wheel wells of the bed. But that's New England winters for you.

I have replaced most of the brake lines, though. And I replaced the water pump 2 times with OEM before I spent the extra money and got an after market pump that hasn't given me a problem yet.

I've driven chevy trucks and vehicles for other people, and I just don't like how they ride. Too soft and gooey in the steering, gas and brakes.

  • Back on topic- Did Biden have a bad dream, wake up in the middle of the night and scream for an immediate and full withdrawal? As much as I'm glad we're out, couldn't this have been better planned?

Anyway I read this this morning- it's Kipling.

And the end of the fight is a tombstone white with the name of the late deceased,

And the epitaph drear, ‘A fool lies here who tried to hustle the East.'

  • Yeah... the problem is that we are not out. He did such a piss poor job that we will have to go back in after they murder or hold Americans hostage. It will be a lot harder this time tho.

  • You should watch the Lara Logan interview. She is pretty perceptive and probably really close to the mark.

  • She said the build up of the Taliban's invasion from Pakistan was obvious and impossible for our intelligence to be unaware. That's obviously true when you think about. She essentially said that whoever is really pulling the strings wanted this happen as it has.
