Mom you know Eskimo is a derogatory word, those people are called Inuit! Eskimo comes from a Cree word that means the eaters of rotten meat.
And now you know the rest of the story!

If I wore moccasins I would be in the market for a real eskimo woman.. they chew the leather and make it really soft and comfy ... I think mom is more of a modern Texas eskimo tho.

My beautiful sister in law is Eskimo too. I affectionately call her Moe sometimes.
She has a lot of family in Alaska and they are very traditional and in touch with their history and culture. The nicest and most humble people you'll ever meet.

"linguists believe the word Eskimo actually came from the French word esquimaux, meaning one who nets snowshoes."

Cool, there's not many of us.
I loved that my son spent the summer pow-wow hopping with his squeeze.
Next year he's taking her to some eskimo pow wows.
All of my family in AK still, they can keep it.

Mom.. as someone who is a scholar of the old west.. what u are saying is pretty much what the gold rush folks believed.. Those who left frisco for the Yukon had a pretty high regard for Eskimos.........now... that being said.. present company excepted.... many Eskimo women? were not exactly . uh....... 'traditionally' good looking.. like the panhead indians... obviously.. there are exceptions
