Comet NEOWISE will be faint, but possibly visible with the naked eye... easily visible with binoculars. Take a good look, won't be back for... like... 6000 years.

Was at Lowry AFB in '73 - '74 when Kohoutek passed by, tech school. Class started at 6AM and we got a fantastic view of that comet.
Other neat stuff in the sky.
Images of two planets circling a sun like star.
Pity the full moon will block most of them from being seen.

Check the time for moonrise in your area on the 11th and 12th.
For instance, moonrise isn't until after midnight up here, which should leave a few hours to observe the shower in total darkness.
Moonrise at 8:53pm central time here. Sigh.
Looks like a good night on the deck with some cocktails.
Are you north of 45° #7?

Well judging by the amount of traffic across the bridge, I'd say you better tighten security please.

The wife and I went out twice to see this comet but just couldnt seem to find a good vantage point. We even went to a point that's the highest around here but the horizon was blocked and we didnt get a chance to see it.
The meteor shower is a different story, should be able to see it as we watched it last year, just need to get out of the city so the lights dont interfere.I'm sure rusty will be along to tell me some reason it wont work.
