  • If you're getting more back than you paid in, it's not a refund.

    And... You're welcome.

Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies, The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. — C.S. Lewis

  • Thing about a sales tax is everytime it went up... even a tiny bit.... everyone would notice and get pissed.

So now Colonel sanders wants to give everyone a free home... and he is gonna pay for it by taxing the one percent at the top of the wealth chain. Now.... that makes like 10 multi trillion dollar plans all supposedly being funded by taxes on the top 1% so far..... pretty sure that they don't have that much money.

"Don't let it end like this. Tell them I said something."

    Pancho Villa, last words (1877 - 1923)

  • Course.... after a few years of the socialists in power the top 1% of income earners will be like $100k a year.... the bottom 99% will be like $95k a year.

  • And the shelves will be empty when you finally get to the front.

At least you and the other three families of strangers you live with will have a nice little free house.

  • I wrote some alternate lyrics back when John Denver was wanting a Russian ride into space:

    Verse 1

Standin' in the breadline waitin' in the snow

I want to buy a copy of manifesto

I love this place downtown Moscow

    Thank god I'm a communist

Well I got me a hammer

and I got me a sickle

    Pocket full of Rubles

    Ain't worth a plug nickel

    A bottle of Vodka

    I'm a gonna get pickled

    Thank god I'm a communist

    Verse 2

Shoot all the people in Bucharest

Jail the survivors and quell the unrest

    I'm in the secret police

    Yeah we're the best

    Thank god I'm a communist.

I have a couple more verses, I guess I'll have to dust it off.

  • I think @-gg- and StRaNgEdAyS should collaborate on this, record it and name it "Ode to Boroda".
